This thing is great. It's made with real wood, and it looks damn cool to watch in the dark. It gives off an authentic 50s feel and as such, I made sure to load up my ipod with a 50s playlist exclusively for use with the ijuke. The speakers pump out sound good and clear, I've heard complaints on some of the cheaper models that the speakers are bad, but on this model I can't hear any static or distortion from the speakers, although it does have some plugs in the back to hook up to external speakers if you'd like. Some complaints though, there isn't an external jack for non-ipod mp3 players, so I had to buy one for this; also after about a day I noticed the speakers got very quiet and it got hard to hear my music. I fixed this by muting and then unmuting it, but it worries me that the speakers could give out unexpectedly even though it's working fine now. The biggest complaint I have is that it's only possible to control the machine with the remote that comes with it. It has two awkwardly placed buttons on the inside for turning the machine and the lights on and off, but controlling the cd player and the volume all requires the remote. If you ever lose the remote or it breaks for some reason, you're screwed. It wouldn't have hurt to add some manual controls onto the machine itself so I don't have to worry about losing the remote some day.

Conclusion: A great buy that's aesthetically pleasing. A few complaints, but overall I'm completely happy with it and I suggest it to anyone that's a fan of the 50s such as myself. Nothing says class like listening to smooth 50s rock while sipping coke out of a glass bottle.
